Shrewsbury (1995)

Living in a farmhouse a few miles north of Shrewsbury, a year spent walking across the fields and through the woodlands of this very beautiful countryside. Some of this work was exhibited in the upper floor of The Bear Steps gallery in Shrewsbury, under the title 'Stumps, Limbs & Disappearing Trees', but many of these images remained in their negative sheet until 2018.

London Trees (1995-97)

A move to live in London, and for me this was a kind of urban re-orientation as I grappled with the lack of nature in my environment, but was still interested in trees as a way in to making work. So these images are a transition, a weaning off of a subject as city living and working took hold.

Shop Windows (1993-96)

The shopfront. Windows, reflections, displays. Things to organise for visual display.

Leaves (1997)

An interest towards the emerging shoots of leaves in the landscape; a Spring time awakening, a chance to explore composition and depth of field.
