The exploration of surface and colour continues in the surfaceworks series. This is predominantly drawing, painting and photography based.
Series 6 2021-22 - artworks are approx. 9.5 x 11.5 x 4 inches (w x h x d), tin, plaster, wire, acrylic & OSB.
A moment to develop an interest in still-life objects, and a sudden fixation upon three-dimensional artworks - especially tin cans with things in them. How to add more surface-ness to the vibrant still-life photographs I started to take?

A small shelf and the objects that sit on it. All these things relate to what is being made, or what is used to make, the flowers I’ve started to grow, and thei things I like putting in pots or cans.
